MobileCoupons.com

The MobileCoupons.com platform was developed by the RACO Interactive team over the course of 2009 and 2010. This ambitious project consisted of several components, including:

• Location-aware website allowing merchants to create bar code enabled digital coupons that could be distributed to a myriad of customer interaction points including web, mobile, in-store Kiosk and SMS text messaging.
• Device-agnostic mobile web application (m.mobilecoupons.com) that would allow non-smartphone users to have full access to the digital coupon database.
• Location-enabled iPhone and Android Apps featuring the ability to search for offers, share offers and redeem standard and one-time use offers (Secure Coupons).
• Robust administrative backend featuring merchant management, coupon moderation and coupon redemption reports.
• Web Services API to allow third party developers to integrate Mobile Coupons search and creation into other applications.
• Integration into a custom SMS or text messaging platform to allow merchants to promote their offers via vanity keywords and the MC411 shortcode.
• In-store touchscreen Mobile Coupon redemption kiosk with real time WWAN connectivity to the MobileCoupons.com offer database.

The entire MobileCoupons.com technology infrastructure is hosted and managed by RACO Interactive.  RACO uses best-in-class technology from F5 Networks, Cisco Systems, Google, Microsoft and others to ensure the application is reliable and can scale to a projected 100 million users.

ConnectNow Personalized Gift Card Kiosk

The Mobile Gift Card Kiosk is a self-service system that utilizes Motorola touch screen and Zebra card printing technologies in combination with real-time wireless communications over EDGE/HSPA networks to alllow consumers to choose, personalize, and print gift cards on demand - turning an ordinary gift card into a personalized and thoughtful gift. The cards can be purchased via credit card at the kiosk or taken to the point-of-sale to complete the transaction and activation.

The RACO Interactive team designed the gift card creation software using .NET ontop of the lightweight Windows CE operating system running on the Motorola touchscreen hardware.  The end result is a powerful yet intuitive application that can be customized for any merchant looking to add self-service gift, access or loyalty card creation in store.  A web based administrator tool was also designed to allow merchants to quickly add new backgrounds, messages and offerings to the kiosks in real time.  The kiosk queries the card database every hour to pull new designs from the server over the wireless network.
